Sessun Summer 2011
I love the french brand Sessun. I had the chance to visit one of their stores in Paris when I was there last winter. Since then I always await their new collections with impatience...and I like to browse through the always gorgeous pictures while listening to their playlist, this time one of the songs is Fade into you, by Mazzy Star. Starts my March off just right!

Looks I LOVE (so far) from New York Fall 2011
Seems like the Fall will be bringing tons of bright colours, prints, orange, reds, blues, and a 70's vibe. I especially liked the Rag&Bone collection!!! I loved the red pants/leggings with blue stripes at the knees.

Florence and the Machine: Cosmic Love
Weird week....There is something in the air.
Letting Cosmic Love by Florence and the Machine soothe my soul.
I just feel like listening to this song over and over and over again and not bothering with anything else...Is that wrong?
I like her voice and the drums. By the way, this song was on Gossip Girl Monday night (Feb. 7th 2011).

My acting class revelation
Yesterday I saw Incendies, a movie by Denis Villeneuve, based on Wajdi Mouawad's play by the same name. The movie is currently nominated for Best Foreign Movie at the Oscars.
The main actress Lubna Azabal blew me away with her performance. Somehow seeing this movie a couple of minutes before my own acting class helped me open up and be fully present in the class and in my acting. I had an amazing class and as a beginner I'm looking forward to learning more and more.
Feb. 3 2011 will count as a good and defining day in my books. A day of inspiration, and confirmation that following my artistic inspirations is definetly nourishing my soul, and every day I feel closer to being the person that I think I am and can be. You see I use to work in health care, and science, and I was miserable. Bored. Confused. Anxious. Feeling like I was drying up on the inside. I litteraly felt trapped in the wrong life.
Now on the contrary, the more I take classes like Fashion Illustration, Acting, the more I blog, and discover about fashion, the more alive I feel. AND THAT IS THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!

Peter Thomas Roth Illuminating Moisturizer and other makeup discoveries
This week has been all about makeup as Monday night I went to be a model at my friend's Mary Kay eye makeup class.

The second one is my sister who has been hanging out with me for a while before going back to Holland mid-feb.
I don't know the products very well, but I have been a fan of the eyebrow gel, and now I would like to get the Satin Lips lip balm (loved, loved this product), the Mineral Powder and their fabulous mascara (It's really, really good to volumize the lashes).
This week I also discoverd the Peter Thomas Roth Illuminating Moisturizer. It makes your face look all fresh and dewy (and not oily!).
This product can be purchased at Sephora, but it's around 45$!

Fashion illustration
Tonight is my first Fashion Illustration class. I'm so excited to get started and hopefully get a bit of guidance.
Garance Doré, one of my favorite fashion illustrators!!!
So stay tune, and shortly my own OEUVRE D'ARTS will be appearing on this blog!!!!
And on a completly unrelated note, I'm thinking of getting myself a pair of wide legged Gap 1969 Jeans!!!
